Rainbow Children’s Medicare IPO Allotment: Here’s How to Check Allotment Status

The initial public offering (IPO) of Rainbow Children’s Medicare witnessed a 12.43 times subscription led by strong buying from the Qualified Institutional Buyers (QIB) and Non-Institutional Investors (NII).

Rainbow Children’s Medicare IPO received bids for 25.49 crore shares as against the size of 2.05 crore shares, as per the data available on the National Stock Exchange (NSE). The portion reserved for QIB saw the highest subscription of 38.90 times followed by NIIs at 3.73 times. The portion set aside for retail investors was subscribed 1.38 times while that of Employees’ was subscribed 31%.

The 1,580.85-crore worth IPO of Rainbow Children’s Medicare was opened for subscription between April 27 and April 29, 2022, at a price band of Rs 516 to 542 per share.

Rainbow Children’s Medicare Ltd is a multi-specialty pediatric and obstetrics and gynecology hospital chain in India. It operates 14 hospitals and three clinics in six cities, with a total bed capacity of 1,500 beds, as of December 31, 2021.

Its core specialties are pediatrics, which includes newborn and pediatric intensive care, pediatric multi-specialty services, pediatric quaternary care (including multi organ transplants); and obstetrics and gynecology, which includes normal and complex obstetric care, multi-disciplinary fetal care, perinatal genetic and fertility care.

Financials – Rainbow Children’s Medicare 

Rainbow Children’s Medicare reported total revenue of Rs 660.31 crore and a net profit of Rs 39.57 crore in FY21. The company’s revenue in FY20 was Rs 729.74 crore and its net profit was Rs 55.34 crore.

The total assets of the company have grown to Rs 1,081.27 crore as of March 2021 from Rs 1,019.24 crore as of March 2020.

Dr Ramesh Kancharla is the Promoter, Chairman and Managing Director, while Dr Dinesh Kumar Chirla is the Promoter and Whole-time Director of Rainbow Children’s Medicare.

Aluri Srinavasa Rao, Dr Anil Dhawan, Sundari Raviprasad Pisupati and Santanu Mukherjee are the Independent Directors on the board of the company. 

Mahesh Madduri is the Head of Strategy of the company, while R Gowrisankar is the Chief Financial Officer of the company.
